Bella Salata Specialty
Dressings and Sauces...
...has made its mark in Florida and beyond. As a wholesaler
of specialty dressings and sauces, Bella Salata, a division of Cranco
Foods, processes, packages, and distributes fresh product from its facility
in Rockledge, FL.
The company's origins go back to 1992 when Ed Cranisky, a former food
and beverage manager with Walt Disney World and his chef/partner Patrice
Shuback bought the company that was producing the dressings they used
in their Merritt Island restaurant, Pleasurable Edibles.
Originally located in Ormond Beach, the company was founded by Chef
Paul Wolf in the late 1970's. Chef Wolf's concept was simple - to produce
a unique, fresh, high quality dressing that his customers could be proud
to serve to their guests. The idea was well received and soon Chef Wolf
Specialty Dressings and Sauces were being distributed throughout Florida.
Chef Paul Wolf died in 1990 and Cranco Foods loved the product so much
they bought the company.
Cranco Foods knew that the product was too good to have it fade into
obscurity. After purchasing the company, in dramatic move in marketing
strategy, in October of 1997, the name was changed to reflect the variety
of specialty dressings and sauces the company has become known for to
Bella Salata.
Since October of 1997, Bella Salata Specialty Dressings and Sauces
has built business alliances with distributors such as Red's Market
of Melbourne, Lombardi's Seafood and Sysco Food Services. Cranco Foods
participates in civic and professional organizations such as the Florida
Restaurant Association, The Econonomic Development Commission of Brevard
